Three Minute Thesis
The Three Minute Thesis (3MTTM) is a worldwide academic competition developed by the University of Queensland in 2008 that assists current doctoral researchers with fostering effective presentations and communication skills. Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research projects to a non-specialist audience. Participation in the 3MT competition was established at the University of Alberta in 2015. At the HDC, the competition was first conducted in 2018.
The International Helmholtz Research School for Diabetes will continue organizing this competition regularly and giving away two prizes: the jury award and people’s choice award.
