The doctoral researcher representatives represent the voices of ALL doctoral researchers of the International Helmholtz Research School for Diabetes studying at the Helmholtz Diabetes Center in Munich and the Alberta Diabetes Institute in Canada. They create the connection between the research school's coordinator, its doctoral researchers and supervisors and communicate interests and concerns of doctoral researchers.

As members of the management board the doctoral researcher representatives have an important role in decision on all matters of the International Helmholtz Research School for Diabetes. Their suggestions and ideas directly influence and shape the research school's program and structure to guarantee an attractive and successful training for doctoral researchers.
