Introduction to Diabetes Research
During the first year of research studies doctoral researchers will acquire the necessary basic knowledge of the pathophysiological principles of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Additionally, doctoral researchers will learn required steps for taking a discovery from proof of concept to practical application. As this program will introduce doctoral candidates coming from different research areas to the field of diabetes research participation is mandatory.
For ADI trainees, enrolment in Pharmacology 550 (Introduction to the Pharmacology Diabetes) is mandatory.
Doctoral researchers will receive an overview on rules and guidelines of good scientific practice and research ethics during the Orientation Days of HELENA that is mandatory to all doctoral researchers of the International Helmholtz Research School for Diabetes.
