Our summer internship program in a nutshell
Internship period: July 8 – August 30
Application period: Feb 9- March 8
Location: Helmholtz Munich (Munich, Germany)
Language: English
Fees: none. Costs are covered for accommodation in a shared room, a fixed travel allowance (if you do not live in Munich) and an allowance for living expenses.
When submitting your application, please specify which lab/project you want to join during your internship. All available projects will be added to the application portal by 14 February (LINK).
What you will learn during your internship
You will apply your knowledge of science to an existing research project
You will learn to apply the latest techniques in diabetes research and to critically discuss and analyze data.
You will be assigned a personal mentor and benefit from the expertise of experienced colleagues.
The dialogue and feedback will help you to expand your own knowledge and develop and discuss your own ideas.
You will regularly attend lectures on various diabetes-related topics.
Who can apply?
We are looking for Bachelor students (minimum two years) or first-year master students based in Germany or worldwide
Field of study: biology, biochemical, cell biological or bioinformatic sciences or similar
Applicants need to be enrolled at their university for the period of the internship.
