The HRD Retreat 2025, held from June 3rd to 4th in Austria, once again brought together talented international doctoral researchers for two days of scientific exchange, professional development, and community building. This annual event plays a vital role in fostering collaboration and supporting the next generation of researchers within the HRD network.
Four distinguished guest speakers, including a presentation from the University Hospital Heidelberg, two insightful career talks, and the engaging DZD Next Talk, provided valuable perspectives and practical advice to inspire our young scientists.
Our doctoral researchers took center stage by presenting their current research through talks and posters. They also demonstrated exceptional organizational skills by actively contributing to the retreat’s planning and execution, showcasing their leadership and teamwork abilities.
The retreat balanced insightful sessions with networking, culminating in a lively pub quiz that sparked team spirit and plenty of enjoyable moments.
